I was actually able to solve the problem. Ps cs2 is not free. It was the last version designed for power pc cpus as apple went for intel. I searched around for cs2 downloads, only to get mixed checksums, which sends up a lot of red flags for me. The newer your machine, the less likely older software, and cs2.
